What to expect at the Rockville clinic
Plan on about two and a half hours in the building. That is roughly a minute to take the dose, then two hours of monitoring, which is a federal REMS requirement at every certified clinic in the country. We have a dedicated monitoring space here rather than a shared waiting room, so you are not sitting in a busy corridor while the medication wears off. Bring headphones if music helps you settle. You cannot drive afterward, so arrange a ride.
For how Spravato works, dosing, and side effects, see our full guide to Spravato treatment .
The only location with Deep TMS
Rockville has BrainsWay Deep TMS on site. Frederick does not. If you are not sure which treatment fits, you can be evaluated for both at the same address in one visit, instead of repeating your history to a second practice across town. Some patients respond better to one than the other, some do both, and some start with Spravato and add TMS later.

Most plans cover it, and we file the paperwork
Most major plans cover Spravato for treatment-resistant depression, including Medicare and Maryland Medicaid. Every plan needs prior authorization first, which means documenting the antidepressants you have already tried. Our team files it and tells you your out-of-pocket cost before your first dose.
