When Depression Doesn’t Budge—You Have New Options
If you’ve tried antidepressants and still feel weighed down by depression, you’re not out of options. Our North Bethesda clinic offers two modern, proven solutions that are changing lives:
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a gentle, drug-free treatment that targets the root of depression—by “waking up” the parts of your brain responsible for mood, motivation, and energy.
Spravato® (Esketamine) is an innovative, FDA-approved nasal spray that takes a new approach to treating depression—especially for people who haven’t found relief with traditional antidepressants.
You’re not alone. We’re here to help, with care that works.

Getting the care you need shouldn’t mean worrying about the cost.
We partner with most commercial insurance providers including Medicare, and Medicaid—so you can focus on feeling better, not on paperwork.
Not sure if you’re covered?

TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) is completely non-invasive and doesn’t require any medication or anesthesia. Instead, it uses gentle magnetic pulses to activate parts of your brain that help regulate mood. Unlike medications, TMS doesn’t cause weight gain, sexual side effects, or memory problems—and there’s no downtime. Most people simply relax in a chair during each session and return to their normal day right after.
Esketamine is a nasal spray medication for adults with depression who haven’t improved with traditional antidepressants. It works differently than typical meds, targeting new pathways in the brain (the NMDA receptor) to help restore mood. It’s fast-acting, often providing relief in days, and is administered in our clinic under close supervision for your safety.
Yes! Both TMS and Esketamine are FDA-approved and widely covered by most commercial insurance plans, as well as Medicare and Medicaid. Our team will help check your coverage and handle the paperwork so you can focus on getting better.
During a TMS session, you’ll sit comfortably in a chair while a small magnetic coil is placed against your scalp. Most people feel a gentle tapping or tingling sensation, but it’s not painful. Sessions last about 20 minutes, and you can drive yourself home or return to work immediately afterward.
You’ll be welcomed into a private, comfortable treatment room. After a quick check-in, you’ll self-administer the nasal spray under our team’s guidance. Then, you’ll relax in our clinic for about two hours so we can monitor you for safety and comfort. Most patients report feeling calm or mildly “floaty,” and these effects wear off before you leave.
Many patients start to feel a positive shift within a few weeks of starting TMS, with improvements building over the full course of treatment. With Esketamine, some people notice relief within days. Everyone’s journey is unique, but our team tracks your progress closely and adjusts as needed.
TMS is well-tolerated, with the most common side effect being mild scalp sensitivity or a headache that usually fades quickly. Esketamine can sometimes cause short-term dizziness, drowsiness, or feelings of dissociation (feeling “out of it”), but you’ll always be monitored until you’re ready to leave. Our providers walk you through everything before you start.
If you’ve tried at least two antidepressants with little success, struggle with side effects from medication, or want alternatives to daily pills, you might be a good fit for TMS or Esketamine. The best way to find out is to schedule a free consultation—our team will review your history and help you explore your options.
In most cases, yes. TMS and Esketamine are often used alongside other medications. We’ll review all of your current prescriptions and coordinate with your care providers to ensure your treatment plan is safe and effective.
